Life or Death

Please pray for Salina, She is 9 weeks pregnant and her mother has kicked her out. She took resource sheet regarding housing, Gabriel Project and CareNet. She also took a fetal model and development card.

Laurel Berger

I wish I could have posted this earlier. Tomorrow was today (9-25-14). I have lifted Laurel and her husband in prayer and I invite you to do the same. Laurel has spent much time in prayer for the unborn. Lets make sure that she is surrounded in prayer also.

 my husband is undergoing a diagnostic angiogram tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in Kirkland and so much of any commitment on my part is dependent on the outcome. He suffers from severe, uncontrolled hypertension and may be facing coronary bypass surgery if stent placement is not the right option. We are praying for healing and a miracle regarding his heart and completely trust in God’s Divine Mercy. I will be in prayer for the 40DaysForLife campaign.

Esther Ripplinger

I received this e-mail from Esther who has been with 40 Days for Life since the beginning. this really tugged at my heart. Please lift this dear sister and her husband in prayer.

Only 70 days ago, I gave CPR to my husband to revive him. It is a long process to bring someone back. Right now, I worry about not having enough for gas and food because I have missed a lot of work and won't have a paycheck.  I really need prayer and I trust in
Jesus. I support your work, but right now it is life and death in my world too,

Maxine Carpenter

Our dear Maxine has suffered a bout with a "mass" that had to be removed. Maxine came through it fine and had great support from her family. She is reporting that she will probably not be able to join us on the street any longer but will be lifting prayers right along with us. A very surprising thing came up in the correspondence that I had with Maxine. She is 89 years old! I would have never known. God has blessed her much in her years. Please remember Maxine in your prayers. She will be with us in prayer too.

Juan and Susan Perez

There are many who have faithfully lifted prayers for the unborn with us who are being challenged in their health. Juan and Susan are facing cancer also. Please lift them in prayer. Here is the note from Susan:

I would like to let you know that Juan was diagnosed of synovial sarcoma last July 9 when he had an open heart surgery.  They found this huge tumor growing in his vena cava and entered his right atrium.  We are offering this situation to God for the unborn being slaughtered unmercifully.  We might not be actively involved with 40 days for he will have further treatments with chemotherapy.

I will keep you posted.  Please also keep us I'm your prayers.

Kim Carroll

Many of you will remember our faithful sister Kim Carroll and may know of the trials that she and her family have been presented with recently. As her husband was seeking work and committed to relocate to Arizona, she was diagnosed with cancer. Many of you have prayed for her through this time and from what I was hearing, it sounded like the cancer may have been receding.

I received these pictures of Kim from Christine just last week and she has a beautiful smile in spite of the challenges that she has been enduring.

 

But just the other day I received this from Christine:

I’m afraid I have bad news about Kim, she is currently in the hospital and they are thinking that the end may be near.  It seems that her downturn is happening very suddenly and very rapidly.  :(

 

So thank you for those continued prayers!

And then yesterday I received this one:

 

As you know, we’ve been specially requesting prayers for Kim this past year as she struggled with her rare, rare form of cancer that is currently active on her brain. It has reached a dire pitch this past week as she has been unable to eat, has constant intense headache, cannot leave the couch.  It now takes her a day just to write a few lines of a letter to her children.  She was admitted to a hospital yesterday and because they are medically at the end of the rope, she has agreed to an experimental treatment.  So, on Monday she will have another surgery on her head to remove more "real estate" and then two radiation nodes will be implanted.  

Naturally, Brian and Kim have turned their thoughts toward the probability of death and all these "last things." 

Dear Lord, we ask for a miracle and the complete, permanent healing of Kim.  Please place your mantel of protection, love, serenity, joy, wisdom, consolation around the Carroll family:  Kim, Brian, Caisey, Rebecca, Anna, and John Paul.  

 

Please keep Kim and family in prayer daily.

Pray for each other

 Before we start into the Fall 40 Days for Life, please take a moment to pray for each other. As we approach the time when we will place ourselves as intercessors for the unborn in prayer and witness, we represent a threat to the forces of death. It is equally important that we pray for each other as well as the unborn.
